Introductions

Hello everyone, welcome to my new website, I’m glad you are here. Since this is my first post, it will be a sort of introduction post. My name is Nicki Fortunati-Warren, and I’m an illustrator, painter, and bookbinder (among lots of other things haha) I started this blog with intentions to be my homebase for my creative journey.

I’ll start with a little more background about my myself. I was born in Italy in 1997, I moved here to Chicago area when I was very young. I always had a very strong interest in art ever since I was young. I studied art thought high school and took classes in college. I have a background in animation, graphic novel creation, and also music.

I developed a strong interest in illustration within the past couple of years. While it’s hard for me to describe my work since I have an extensive body of work with different subject matters – I love to combine and explore aspects of nostalgia, fantasy, and memory in my artwork. A way I explore these themes are through still lifes, landscapes, and various illustrations.

In late 2023 I started bookbinding and now has become an integral part of my creative journey. My books can be purchased on Etsy and I also have an Instagram dedicated just to my bookbinding projects @made.by.nfortunatiwarren
