Hello everyone, it’s been a minute. Welcome to a new blog post. This post will mainly be about my wintertime illustrations and future springtime projects.
I didn’t get around to creating too many winter illustrations this year, which is a little disappointing since winter is my favorite season. I did create this unicorn illustration, which I really enjoy. A little backstory – I created a very similar illustration to this one during Folktale Week of last year, for my last prompt during that challenge I created this unicorn illustration for the last daily prompt – bloom. (Link to see that illustration here – Link)

Many of my illustrations start out as traditional sketches (Usually with colored pencil or ink) Then I usually scan them and color them digitally in Procreate.
I’m also currently participating in the sketchbook challenge. For those of you that are not familiar, the sketchbook challenge is where you draw in your sketchbook for 100 days straight. I’m not following any prompts, just sketching what I feel like at the moment. It has been quite freeing, I’ve actually been combining poetry with my sketching which is something that I sort of used to do when I was younger.
Some of my upcoming projects are some springtime illustrations, which I will post on here soon. I’m also planning on joining in again on Our Planet Week – a five day illustration project where illustrators create environmental and earth-centric artwork. I may create a blog post where I revisit my work from last year, so keep an eye out for that. That is it for now
