Artist Statement

Saccharine paints soaked in melancholy illustrate the fragility of memory in a world where everything is fleeting. These works are entryways to moments, brief flashes immersed in longing. The fragments of my youth send me reeling for a familiar voice in the background, triggering a wave of nostalgia that washes over me. As I weave my work together like a map, I carefully trace the paths of my past, aiming to capture every subtle emotion and fading recollection. Each brushstroke becomes a record of the elusive and the intangible, a testament to the impermanence of time and the relentless passage of moments. I try to reconstruct what I feel has vanished or is distant, peering into the depths of my art to find solace in the act of remembrance, seeking to hold onto the ephemeral threads that tie me to the past.
